I've staged a Jenkins build of type Maven 2/3 successfully (tried different project structures, multi-project and single-project). Afterwards I want to promote the release to a dedicated repository. On Jenkins' "Artifactory Pro Release Promotion" page, I'm entering reasonable values to the fields and tried to "release", with "use copy" and "include dependencies" (but no permutation works). After submitting, the page redirects to the page "processing, click here to try again if case of errors". Nothing happens, no errors are displayed.
Trying the same steps again, navigating again to the promotion page and submitting, the page now reloads immediately, the fields are empty again. No redirect (will redirect again i.e. go back to scenario 1, as described above, after re-starting Jenkins). Nothing happens: again no further action in Jenkins and no action in Artifactory. Nothing to see in neither Jenkins logs nor Artifactory logs. What could be wrong? deploying and staging works, but not promoting. Where is the place to scan for further information what is going on under the hood? Looks like, nothing is reported somewhere to trace the process. I'm using Jenkins 1.410 with jenkins/artifactory 2.0.0. Thank you.

I've set up the Jenkins installation and build jobs from scratch again. Additionally, I've deleted all existing artifacts in Artifactory repos and all tracked builds in Artifactory. Now it works.
It could be helpful to protocol the promotion in Jenkins somehow. "Traditional" promotions in Jenkins (the promotion plug-in) has a promotion page that links to past promotion, including who has triggered it and when was it. At the moment, the Artifactory promotion is a bit like a "fire and forget", from a Jenkins perspective.
Staging/promotion are really awesome features, and very handy to use. Thank you.
