Fraser Adair created an issue

Jenkins / Bug JENKINS-57835
Jenkins - Subversion - svn: E170001: HTTP proxy authorization failed
Issue Type: Bug Bug
Assignee: Ivan Fernandez Calvo
Components: subversion-plugin
Created: 2019-06-04 09:27
Environment: Jenkins installation:
RHEL 6.9
apache-tomcat-8.5.9
Jenkins ver. 2.89.4
Subversion Plug-in 2.12.1

Subversion (different server):
RHEL 6.9
svn, version 1.8.17 (r1770682)
Apache/2.2.15 (Unix)
/etc/httpd/conf.d/subversion.conf configured for LDAP authentication

Connectivity to Subversion is via Netscaler VIP (Context-switching redirection and SSL termination)
Labels: svn Subversion subversion-plugin
Priority: Minor Minor
Reporter: Fraser Adair

Connectivity between Jenkins and Subversion fails intermittently with 'svn: E170001: HTTP proxy authorization failed' and/or 'svn: E175002: SSL handshake failed: 'Remote host closed connection during handshake' error.

When error appears it seems any further attempts result in same errors and the only way to recover appears to be to restart Jenkins. Can happen a few times a day but can also go several days without issue.

Trying to understand why receiving these intermittent issues and how to resolve.
