Hi,

while trying to install plugin i am getting failure status and detailed error is as below could anyone please let me know where i need to check or update ?

The exception doesn't occur in the plugin, It could be an issue with Jenkins mirrors, Did you try to download the plugin again?

And are you behind a proxy?

I have the same issue that cannot download the plugin. The issue is on a Mac server in our office. Maybe we have a proxy in our office, I am not sure.

For troubleshooting, I've also installed the Jenkins on my Mac and I can download the plugin without any issues.

One thing would like to discuss is that once I paste the link http://updates.jenkins-ci.org/download/plugins/mock-slave/1.12/mock-slave.hpi to the browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari), it will show an error message such as Failed to download.

Does anyone have the same issue?

  • Jenkins version: 2.138
  • Java version: 1.8
  • Mac OS: High Sierra 10.13.6

Cooltey Feng, Have you tried configuring proxy at the Manage Plugins -> Advanced section?

Cooltey Feng, It seems like an issue with the browser itself, I am behind a proxy and able to download the file you specified.

Okay, this is a bit of a thread necro, but this seemed like the most appropriate place to post.  I also was getting the "java.net.SocketException: Connection reset" error, but it was not due to a proxy error as suggested here.  The error was caused by our router, a Meraki, and something called  "Advanced Malware Protection (AMP)" in combination with plugins downloaded from http (vs. http*s*) mirrors.  The truly annoying part is that it silently crushes your download after it's started, making it look like the mirror is somehow at fault.

I am also getting same error , does anyone has solution?

Also, If I had proxy setting in Advanced Section the validation proxy returns error 403.

If I remove proxy and validate url it gives Success as status.
