Jenkins / Bug JENKINS-60424
logstash-plugin does not work with ElasticSearch 7
Issue Type: Bug Bug
Assignee: Jakub Bochenski
Components: logstash-plugin
Created: 2019-12-10 16:41
Environment: Jenkins 2.190.2.2, logstash-plugin 2.3.1
Labels: logstash elasticsearch
Priority: Major Major
Reporter: Richard Schaefer

Ref Jenkins-50562 we configured our Jenkins instance with ES 6 to send logs to the logstash/jenkins index. We're being told we have to migrate to ES 7 but index types were deprecated in ES 7 so logstash/jenkins doesn't work anymore. I tried specifying just a jenkins index but now get the HTTP 405 Invalid Method error.

Hi, I don't use ES7 so I don't plan to work on this feature. If you would like to submit a PR I can help with review though

I don't see a problem with ES7. Just tried it out locally using http://localhost:9200/jenkins/_doc
