I am paranoid that when deleting a workspace, I may accidentally delete the job. 

The Delete Project menu on the left should be harder to access.

  • Perhaps buried in the job's Configure settings might be less risky.
  • Make user type in the job name before deletion is allowed.

Both dialogs are basically identical:

I would like to point out that (maybe) your Jenkins admin should remove DELETE privileges to authenticated users.  I had this issue happen today to one of my QAs and I decided to take this course of action.

That said, if you are a Jenkins admin and made that mistake, I can see something like this to be of some benefit.
