Jenkins / Bug JENKINS-60147
Artifactory Plugin doesn't run in a freestyle job with a Maven Build Step.
Issue Type: Bug Bug
Assignee: Eyal Ben Moshe

Components: artifactory-plugin, maven-plugin
Created: 2019-11-12 21:11
Environment: Jenkins 2.176.1
Artifactory plugin 3.1.0
Maven Integration plugin 3.1.2
Priority: Minor Minor
Reporter: Jed Jacobs

We want to publish a jar produced by a Maven build from a pom.xml to Artifactory.  However, the Maven Artifactory integration is too restrictive.  We want to publish it twice, once with a version label attached to the name and once without  For example:  one as file.jar and another as file-1.0.1.jar.  The Maven Artifactory integration does not allow that so I figured I would use a freestyle job instead of a Maven job and use the Artifactory plugin.  I configured the freestyle job to include a Maven build step as well as provided the upload specs for the generic Artifactory integration to publish the jar as described about.

The Maven-Artifactory integration is not selected because I thought that might be preventing the Generic Artifactory integration from running.

However, the Artifactory step never runs and there is no evidence of anything about it in the log.  Any ideas?
