Dear all,

I recently tried to launch a new release of the amazon-ecr-plugin from UI [https://jenkins.ci.cloudbees.com/job/plugins/job/amazon-ecr-plugin], but it looks like that something related to credentials have changed?

The build is failing:

* Does someone knows why this is happening and how to fix it?

Regards,
Félix

Hi Félix,
Please go through the below conversation, it may help you. I have gone through the pom.xml, it doesn't contain the fix for INFRA-588.
This will help you

@Félix: I'd recommend to simply switch to the plugin-pom v2.x as parent.
It might indeed make sense to not use anymore the one from CloudBees now the same feature has been provided to plugin-pom 2.x (mainly being able to upgrade the plugin parent pom decorrelatedly from upgrading the jenkins minimal version [which you probably don't want to do here, indeed]).

INFRA-588 was fixed starting with plugin-pom 2.5 FWIW. See https://github.com/jenkinsci/plugin-pom/compare/4737fa14c0d5745...f139cd4d3c68123088 for related changes.

IMO, it's a solution we should generally recommend, instead of asking plugin developers to clutter their pom.xml by copy/pasting code to fix INFRA-588 everywhere.

@Baptiste I just updated pom.xml to use plugin-pom 2.9 with no success on this specific issue. Any ideas?

Hi Félix,
Today morning I released all-changes-plugin, I am successful. I think please have a look at the pom.xml of all-changes-plugin and do changes accordingly and try to release.

Suresh

Hi Félix,

Just checked I'm able to deploy a SNAPSHOT for this plugin. As I am, I guess your next step is to go over #jenkins-infra on IRC or on the infra ML to ask about it. I don't know if someone else managed to release from the UI since the ci.j.o overhaul still recently.

Sorry to be unhelpful.
