  • The URL to your finished plugin repository on GitHub
  • The name the repository should have (if it doesn't already have a clear name), e.g. "snapchat-notification-plugin"
    • octopusdeploy-plugin
  • Your personal GitHub ID
    • badriance
  • Your jenkins-ci.org user name, so we can make you the default assignee for the JIRA issue tracker component for your plugin
    • badriance
  • A description of what the plugin does, and what makes it different from other similar plugins
    • Integration with the OctopusDeploy REST API allowing Release creation and Deployment execution. This plugin uses the API, not the executable, so it can be run on any OS (not just windows)

Hello,

I've forked a repo several days ago.My apologies, I've managed to send a private response.

Now I also see a conflict between https://github.com/jenkinsci/octopusdeploy-plugin and https://github.com/jenkinsci/octopus-client-plugin/ . The second plugin has been release 1 year ago and now there's no activities, Wiki pages, etc.

Would it be possible to somehow merge the plugins or deprecate one of them?  Unfortunately, after a brief search I didn't find contacts of octopus-client-plugin authors

Hi Oleg,

I looked at that one too, and found no active developers for it. I think the one I put together is different enough since it has more rich functionality and uses the REST API rather than Octo.exe (a utility that only works on Windows).

Thoughts?

I would keep the things as is. When your plugin gets enough users, we can deprecate the second one if there is no activities around
