Thank you, Nuno, for offering to maintain this plugin—I'm giving a +1 for your initiative!

I also have a pending pull request for this plugin, aimed at resolving the JDK 8 compilation issue before we transition to JDK 11 and then 17. I would appreciate it if someone could review and merge it.
