JIRA Release Notes plugin

Dear colleagues,

I am looking for the plugin which can generate release notes for each release build based on the JIRA tickets.

So far I found only one reliable plugin:

but it doesn't generate Release Notes, nothing in the terminal logs, nothing in the output, looking into Git code I found that the class never used at all in the project!

I am wondering, is it any JIRA plugin for the Release Notes created already or should I re-invent the wheel and create my own?

I've added one of the JIRA plugin maintainers to Cc.

JIRA API allows to generate such release notes, hence you can just call this API from your build and download a file. See the recommendations here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/63883/jira-release-notes-via-rest-api

BTW this feature may be useful.
