Hi guys,

I'm in a bit of a jam.
I've extended the ElOyente-plugin to be able to send Xmpp PubSub events.
But upon uploading my code changes, i've noticed that i currently don't have write acces to the repo.
And that the Current maintainer Frank Vanderhallen has passed away.
So he won't be able to provide me with the proper rights to update my changes to this plugin.

Since i've noticed that Jenkins-ci (on github) has forked his repo, i was hoping that i could fork the repo of Frank.
And let Jenkins fork my repo (with the code changes), which also would imply that i'll become the new maintainer.
Any other suggestions are highly welcome!

regards,
Dennis Jacobs.

I think the master is the Jenkins fork now. Can’t you push your changes there (if you have the correct rights)?

Hi Ulli,

That's exactly my problem, i don't have permissions on the master.
And the person who should be able to give them to me, has passed away.
So I'm really hoping for a workaround for this!

With kind regards,
Jacobs Dennis.

Waht is your GitHub name? Then I can assign you commit rights…

Dennis,

In any case, it's highly recommended to create a github for of the plugin and then create a pull request with your changes.
Currently, there's no track of your activities on GitHub, A direct pushing to the master branch is not a good approach in any case.

Hi Ulli,

Sorry for my late reply but i haven't been in the office for the last 2 days.
Regarding my github names are 'dnnsjcbs'  and 'dejakke'.
The first one is the one i use for company works, while the latter is used at home.
I would apprreciate it, if you could give them both write acces.
So if at some point i decidce to leave the company, i can remain the maintainer of this plugin.
Otherwise i'm afraid the plugin-support will be forgotten.

With kind regards,
Jacobs Dennis.

Oleg,

That's exactly my problem!
I can create a pull request, but the person who is owner of the master repo has passed away.
So i don't see him performing any pull requests in the future.

Regards,
Dennis Jacobs.

My bad, I have not understood the justification on the first time.
The access has been granted to both accounts you've mentioned
