Extension of the Performance Plugin

Hi guys,

 

I made some major changes on the Performance Plugin. I didn’t want to go directly for a pull request because of the complexity and effects of the changes. So I tried to contact the maintainer of the plugin. Unfortunatly there was no response within two mails.

 

How to move on with my changes?

Either I’ll host the code by myself or I just go for a pull request? What would you suggest?

As I see Manuel Carrasco Moñino (in Cc) is the de-facto maintainer. He was active ~ 6 month ago, so no clues if he is available now.

A pull request is a right way to go in any case. You can always ask for the review in the Jenkins developer list.

Hi we are also looking at this plugin and need some fixes of some issues.
If no-one is actively maintaining it, can we pass the responsibility to someone else?

We could probably help, at least with some changes. We would very much like https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-27373 fixed, at least to start with the simple suggested fix waiting on the pull request.

Hi,

I finalized my changes and created a pull request: https://github.com/jenkinsci/performance-plugin/pull/56
Could someone review and integrate my request?

As I can see, the maintainer of the plugin is inactive since ~8 months. The plugin is with >7000 installations quite popluar. In my opinion it would be a pity if there is no further support and development on this plugin

Hi,

There was no response from the owner, hence we can transfer the ownership.

https://github.com/jenkinsci/performance-plugin/pull/56 is a bit big :)

sounds good. I already marked the plugin for adoption.

I know it is a kind of a big feature, but I hope the overvalue justifies the amount of code :)

I saw your comments on my PR and I will handle them asap.
