2.504.2 Release Lead

Hi everyone,

Is anyone interested in being the release lead for 2.504.2?

Planned dates can be seen on the event calendar: https://www.jenkins.io/events/#event-calendar:

• Release candidate by 14th May 2025
• Release on 28th May 2025

Past release leads will be available to answer any questions and provide guidance.

Kris is seeking volunteers, not volunteering.  Since Google Summer of Code is about to enter a very, very busy period, I think we need someone other than Kris to be the 2.504.2 release lead.

Apologies for having mis-read on my part. Google Summer of Code begins in 8 days, Kris will be lead mentor for 2 projects and co-mentoring for another 2 so help with 2.504.2 release will help greatly.

Sure Alyssa, no worries! Actually I wanted to check to see if there are no one else interested before volunteering for the role as I do not want to hoard this position. But since no one else has shown any interest I will now indeed volunteer to be the 2.504.2 Release Lead and will create a release checklist for this shortly.
