Hi,

I’m writing on behalf of SmartBear, the original maintainer of the CrossBrowserTesting plugin.

The CrossBrowserTesting (CBT) service has officially been discontinued, and the plugin is no longer in use or functional. As a result, we would like to request that the plugin repository at:

https://github.com/jenkinsci/crossbrowsertesting-plugin

be archived to reflect its deprecation.

Please let me know if you need any confirmation or documentation from SmartBear to proceed with archiving.

Thanks for your help!

Warmest Regards,

Thanks for noting the end of life of the service that the plugin requires.  I don't think we need any additional documentation because  https://support.smartbear.com/crossbrowsertesting/docs/about.html and other pages like https://support.smartbear.com/crossbrowsertesting/docs/getting-support.html clearly state that the service is no longer available.

If you have access to the plugin repository, it would be a nice help if you added an entry at the top of the README that has a message like the one at  https://support.smartbear.com/crossbrowsertesting/docs/about.html .

If you don't have convenient access to the plugin repository in order to add that message, we can handle suspending the plugin from the Jenkins update center and can use the message from the pull request to explain why distribution has been suspended.

I've submitted https://github.com/jenkins-infra/update-center2/pull/870 to request that the plugin be suspended from distribution.

Thanks,
Mark Waite

https://plugins.jenkins.io/crossbrowsertesting/ and https://updates.jenkins.io/latest/ both correctly show that the plugin is no longer being distributed.

Thank you, Mark. I appreciate the fast turnaround on this.

Please let me know once the repo itself has been archived - https://github.com/jenkinsci/crossbrowsertesting-plugin
