A GSoC student wants to merge a trivial fix to a plugin that no longer has a maintainer.

The plugin is changes-since-last-success-plugin (ndeloof is no longer the maintainer as per this message)

The PR is:

How does the student proceed?

Thanks,
Martin

He himself could become the maintainer if he so wishes.

If not I believe it falls under open for adoption, and I can recall the exact, but I believe it then falls to the core maintainer.

Hello Martin,

Weird thing is that there are 3 exactly similar pull requests from different contributors. The students PR is the last one to be created, so I I would rather close it as a duplicate TBH.

W.r.t merge/release, I do not think we can do a lot without active maintainer there. Somebody would need to adopt the plugin and to cut a new release.

Best regards,
Oleg

Looks like a fairly simple plugin.  I can take it if required and the GSOC student doesn't wish to.

@ndeloof has explicitly stated he no longer maintains this plugin and that it is up for adoption (https://github.com/jenkinsci/changes-since-last-success-plugin/pull/3#issuecomment-476476085)

Is it possible to transfer it across to me?

Thanks,

Tony

Yes, I think so.
Happy to do the transfer

Sorry, to be a pain, but this doesn't seem to have come through yet.  Can anyone assist?

Cheers,

Tony

Hi Tony,

Sorry, I have missed the response. I have applied the permission patch in JIRA and GitHub.
You should have access to the repository now.

You will also need to patch https://github.com/jenkins-infra/repository-permissions-updater/blob/master/permissions/plugin-changes-since-last-success.yml in order to get the permissions to release the plugin.

Best regards,
Oleg
