Build fails jenkinsci/jacoco-plugin due to Non-resolvable parent POM

I am trying to build  jenkinsci/jacoco-plugin master. But when I try to build it using maven it gives an error

Non-resolvable parent POM for org.jenkins-ci.plugins:jacoco:2.1.0-SNAPSHOT: Could not transfer artifact org.jenkins-ci.plugins:plugin:pom:1.609.3 from/to java.net-m2-repository (http://maven.jenkins-ci.org:8081/content/repositories/releases/): Connection refused and 'parent.relativePath' points at no local POM @ line 28, column 12

Hmm, seems like you have defined a repo somewhere with id "java.net-m2-repository" pointing to mave.jenkins-ci.org and maven.jenkins-ci.org no longer exists, you should replace it with repo.jenkins-ci.org
