How to instruct Jenkinsfile to use VS 2022

Hi everyone,

I updated the pom.xml to use VS 2022's integrated MSBuild.exe:

Since then, the ”ci.jenkins.io / Jenkins” check fails: 

Caused by: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\2022\Community\MSBuild\Current\Bin\MSBuild.exe" (in directory "C:\Jenkins\agent\workspace\n-automation-tools-plugin_PR-610\HpToolsLauncher"): CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified

We use a Jenkinsfile like this:

How can we tell the Jenkins builder to use the new MSBuild.exe ?

Please help.

Note: We do NOT use / need Docker.

Did you check if the jenkins project windows workers have VS2022 installed at all?  And if the answer is yes, is the path correct? These tests are not runnig  on your local machine, so don't expect arbitrary tools to be available.

https://github.com/jenkins-infra/packer-images/blob/main/provisioning/windows-provision.ps1 and https://github.com/jenkins-infra/packer-images/blob/main/build-jenkins-agent-windows.pkr.hcl do not mention Visual Studio at all....

It seems that is not possible at this moment, more details here:

We have to use a Docker image.
