Hello,

Thomas Bechtold asked about a new version of jjb/python-jenkins. The release was made in March 2020.

To create a release, one has to push a git tag and I think OpenDev CI creates the archive and publishes it to Pypi. There are four people about to do that, they are the members of the Gerrit group python-jenkins-release:

Darragh Bailey
Khai Do
Sorin Sbarnea (zbr)
Thanh Ha (zxiiro)

Since python-jenkins is closely related to Jenkins Job Builder, I am proposing to have each of the jjb/jenkins-job-builder groups to be included in the respective jjb/python-jenkins groups. In effect:

python-jenkins-core would include the group jenkins-job-builder-core

python-jenkins-release would include the group jenkins-job-builder-release

This will open the ability to do a release to a few more people.  Any members of those groups can do the include, I think we just need to find an agreement.

Hi Antoine,

This makes sense to me since python-jenkins is a dependency of JJB that they should have the same committers especially these days where there are not that many active maintainers anymore on these 2 projects.

I saw in the other thread that you were able to cut a release so I assume all is well at this point?

If not, let me know if I can help grant access where necessary.

Cheers,
Thanh
