Hello,

I used to update out Jenkins installation on Windows with a script that downloads the latest stable version with the link
That link wasn't updated for a while in the past weeks, and now it's gone. I see no other easy solution to download the latest version automatically without website scraping (which I want to avoid).
Is there an alternative solution?

Regards, Holger

Hi Holger!

The links have been removed in https://github.com/jenkins-infra/helpdesk/issues/4833#issuecomment-3406840130. We may work on adding these links back, or maybe not (we are not decided).

We recommend that you use https://updates.jenkins.io/dynamic-stable-2.528.1/latestCore.txt to get the latest LTS version instead. It should solve your issue and be stable as it is an endpoint that is stable and working.

My bad, as pointed out by my colleague Stephane Merle the URL I provided make no sense.

The correct URL to use is https://updates.jenkins.io/stable/latestCore.txt (which redirects to another location). It's content (if you follow redirections) is always stable.
