Hi All,

At this week's Advocacy and Outreach meeting, we discussed about doing a Jenkins Epipheo video. A sample video is HERE. I have started this brainstorming document with my initial thoughts. I would love to get feedback, suggestions for how we can use this video to help move Jenkins forward.

Hi All,

A follow up to this thread, a few weeks ago Tracy Miranda and I met with the folks from Epipheo to brainstorm ideas for a Jenkins video - HERE is a draft of the video. I would like to get feedback for what changes are necessary. Pls send me feedback suggestions by next Friday, July 17. Once this video is done I would like to get this posted on jenkins.io.

Hello,

i've rec'd feedback from Tracy M on this video. I'm moving ahead with this video to its final phase. Once it's ready I would like to have this video posted on the home page of jenkins.io, perhaps in the middle of the page to help promote Jenkins. And of course promoting it via social media via Twitter, LinkedIn. I plan to also have this on CD.foundation as well as in the CDF newsletter, and as part of the Jenkins graduation project. If there's any option to this plan pls let me know. And if needed, I can also take this to the next governance meeting to request approval.

Hi Alyssa,

Sorry, I have not had a chance to review it yet. Was snowed by other stuff and missed this request. The video itself looks great, thanks for driving it! Some notes, with full understanding that they might be too late (sorry about it):

There is a mistake in the audio "Learn more at jenkins.com" in the end of the video
"Brought to you by CloudBees" is IMHO ambitious, because it may refer the video (as indented, I believe) or Jenkins itself, or even "CD Foundation brought to you by CloudBees". Due to placing of the elements, it may be perceived by others as the latter one. It would be great to change the phrase to "video brought up to you by CloudBees" or so

As you wrote it will require a Governance meeting approval, as well as other major promotions on the landing. The video includes reference to the sponsor, and IMHO it needs a discussion. The next scheduled Governance meeting is July 29th. Does it fit your timeline?

Also, such change will require some implementation work to make putting a video on the landing possible.

Thanks Oleg for the feedback. I'll get your input in. Tracy also brought up the 2nd bullet. I was thinking of replacing "Brought to you by" with "Thank you to our sponsor" and then the CB logo.
