Folk don’t understand necessarily that sometimes people themselves do
indeed work but that their lives don’t. A person’s life has to consist
in four basic things to be functional: (1) In whether they believe the
gospel of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ; (2) in how many foreign
languages they speak; (3) in how many books they’ve read; and (4) in
how many books they’ve written. If your experience wasn’t composed of
these four elements in unison, you didn’t have much of a life to speak
of, and this indeed was the situation with most of the poor of the
earth. So, tell yourselves and your children, especially if you are
poor, to daily take a look at and keep an eye on your lives, and
you’ll see where you’re headed.
Shalom!
Love,
