In the context of the Danish presidency we invite you to take part in a guided tour in this exhibition of one of the most important painters of the Danish avant-garde. Participation is 5 euros for members of the EBB and 10 euros for non-members. In the fee included are the entrance to the exhibition and a guided tour. The visit takes around 1h15.

Europe in crisis: the challenge of winning citizens' trust -

Each night we will select one of the pearls of European cinema, serving drinks and foods that are typical for that certain European region (Nordic, Mediterranean, Eastern Europe, ...) and create the atmosphere to make you feel like a real European. JEF Bulgaria Seminar in Sofia: Enlarging the territory of citizens' participation -
1-8 May
The National Student Confederation along with JEF and UEF-Bulgaria have the pleasure of inviting you to participate in the international seminar «Enlarging the Territory of Citizens' Participation».
The seminar will provide young people with knowledge and skills for active participation in the democratic life of the union. The political, social, economic and cultural aspects that the seminar addresses will contribute to shape a vision how to strengthen European democracy and reaffirm the concept of active European citizenship. The participants will acquaint with all direct and indirect instruments of citizen involvement, from the European Citizens' Initiative to the structured dialogue with civil society organizations and a modernized system of European Elections. The ideas and knowledge generated during the seminar can be used by every participant and be implemented at local level.
Methodology: Panel discussions, working groups, lectures, plenary sessions, simulation games and information market will be some of the methods used to debate these issues.
The seminar is open to the young people from EU member states between 18 and 30 years of age. Travel costs will be reimbursed (up to EUR 230), the participation fee is EUR 75. Board and lodging will be covered by the organisers. Deadline for applying is 22 April 2012!

JEF Jour Fixe in Brussels -

The ‘jour fixe’ of JEF in Brussels is a nice tradition! On the first Wednesday of every month we meet in the restaurant Ultime Atome (14, rue Saint Boniface, 1050 Bruxelles). In order to book a table, please confirm your participation with a short email to in...@jef.eu. Soon there will be created a facebook event, where you can sign up, too.
Not only active members of JEF are welcome, but also Alumni or people who are just interested in what we do and who we are. If you happen to be in Brussels for the next ‘Jour fixe’ on Wednesday 2 May from 7 pm onwards, feel free to join us for a drink (or a meal) and a nice evening in the Ultime Atome.

Europe Direct Antwerpen: De crisis in Europa - 9 May
Europe Direct Antwerpen organises a lecture with Marc de Vos about the crisis in Europe. Marc de Vos is professor of labour and employment law at the University of Ghent and director of the Itinera institute in Brussels. He will explain how our era is the scene for a variety of crises happening at the same time and how we can bring light to the end of the tunnel. He will deal with the financial crisis, the eurocrisis and the aging society.
