La fête de l'Europe du 8 mai passé était plus qu'une réussite pour JEF Belgique et le Mouvement Européen Belgique! Nous avons même reçu la visite de députés européens belges comme Frieda Brepoels, Isabelle Durant, Saïd El Khadraoui et Marc Tarabella. Les photos sont disponibles sur Flickr !

Local Europe
Dans le cadre de notre projet, Local Europe, JEF Belgique cherche des écoles de l’enseignement secondaire ainsi que des professeurs qui seraient d’accord de mettre à la disposition de nos membres une heure de cours pour présenter les actions de l’Union Européenne en faveur des jeunes et les activités de JEF et du MEB.

Voor ons project, Local Europe, is JEF België op zoek naar middelbare scholen en leerkrachten die bereid zijn een lesuurtje af te staan aan onze leden, om een presentatie te geven over wat de Europese Unie doet voor jongeren en hoe de activiteiten van JEF en de EBB daar aan bijdragen.

Youth Understanding Politics Seminar
JEF Belgium is currently working on a very interesting project named "YUP - Youth Understanding Politics". It is a 2 weeks long seminar in Belgium, organised by JEF Belgium and YUP.
The seminar takes part from 2 to 12th of
August in Brussels and participants are aged 15 to 18 years old, coming
from 6
different European countries: Moldova, Romania, Germany, Ukraine,
Slovenia and

What are we exactly looking for ?
Moniteurs ! We need motivated people with experience in managing groups and with good command of English. Food and accommodation will be provided for you. JEF-Europe is looking for qualified trainers, interested in being part of the new JEF Pool of Trainers! This Call endeavors to bring together the most qualified young people of the organization in the Pool of Trainers’ database, with the aim of raising the prominence and standard of future JEF activities on local, national or international level.
To become part of the Pool of Trainers, you must have been actively involved in international youth work for at least 2 years. Moreover, you have served already in minimum 3 international training activities (training courses, seminars). JEF-Europe puts great emphasis on non-formal education, experimental learning, group dynamics and interactive methods.

‘Jour fixe’ of JEFers in Brussels

The ‘jour fixe’ of JEF in Brussels became a nice tradition! At the first Wednesday of every month we meet in the restaurant Ultime Atome (14, rue Saint Boniface, 1050 Bruxelles).
In order to reserve a table, please confirm your participation either with a short email to in...@jef.eu or via the facebook event that you will find at the JEF fan page. Of course not only active members of JEF are welcome, but also Alumni or people who are just interested in what we do and who we are.
So if you happen to be in Brussels for the next ‘jour fixe’ at Wednesday, 2 June 2010 around 7 pm feel free to join us for a drink (or a meal) and a nice evening in the Ultime Atome.
Waves of Democracy 2010
2 – 8 July 2010 - Serbia
Waves of Democracy is a conference this summer (2-8 July 2010) organized in Serbia with participants from EU and West Balkan. The participants are youth between 17 and 25 years of age, and all relevant information (and application form) can be found on the website www.wavesofdemocracy2010.org. Europamobil 2010
30th of September – 24th of October 2010, Ile de France (Paris)
Europamobil is an innovative project directed to pupils in the region Ile de France and to international students. It aims to enhance pupils’ interest for the process of European integration. The project has been initiated by the Genshagen Foundation in Germany and the Robert Bosch Foundation. The project is directed to students of European Studies or other relevant discipline from all EU countries. Students should have a very good command of French and English language. All costs of participation are covered.

Master in European Journalism
IHECS, an official Brussels-based high school, has decided to open a daytime executive master in European Journalism from September onwards. The course is structured around project learning and multiple partnerships with European bodies.
