Dear members of JEF Belgium,
The Young European Swiss are organizing a seminar on the topic "Europeans meet Swiss Democracy – Pros and Cons of Direct Democracy". This two-day seminar at the University of Zurich is an opportunity for dedicated young Europeans to come together in order to learn more about the Swiss system of direct democracy and to discuss how democracy can be enhanced on a European level. The topics of workshops will be: European Citizens’ Initiative, Political Campaigning, Limits of direct democracy, Federalism and direct political participation and more tools of direct democracy in EU member states.
Interested candidates should send a brief motivation letter (max. 300 words) explaining in short their study and work/internship background and experience and interest with direct democracy.
