| Centre for Civil Society invites you to our fifth annual School Choice National Conference (SCNC) on 20 December 2013.
School Choice National Conference 2013 will:
- Bring together educationists and educational planners, policy experts, activists and government officials to discuss and debate existing policies and share their vision for what education should be in 2025 and;
- Showcase innovative policy solutions–both national and international–that are being implemented to address current challenges in the Indian education ecosystem

KEY SESSIONS
Vision 2025: Changing the Paradigms of Education
Who should provide education? What kind of education should we impart? How should we impart this education? Panelists will examine whether today’s education system is equipped to meet the growing aspirations of young India, how we can provide education with equity; and the role of technology in classrooms of the future.
Practice 2025: Teaching for Understanding
What kind of pedagogy and infrastructure do we require to achieve Vision 2025? Panelists will explore innovative developments and best practices in education today in the areas of curriculum setting, methods for student assessments, classroom innovations, teacher training, school financing models and alternative methods of imparting education all of which will aid our movement towards this vision.
Action Plan 2025: Rethinking Policy
Can the current education policy framework of India deliver on this vision? This session will aim to understand the current policies, their implications for the education space and gaps in the system, with emphasis on the need to focus more on outcomes that inputs to education. Panelists will deliberate on the reforms required to achieve Vision 2025.
