He is also former Co- Chairman of the Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. He is Chairman, Asia Cabinet of the Global Advisory Board of the Graduate School of Business, Chicago. He served as a Founding Member of HDFC Bank Ltd.

Jerry RaoJAITHIRTH RAO, Panellist
Indian businessman and Former CEO of the software company MphasiS. An alumnus of Loyola College in Chennai, IIM Ahmedabad & the University of Chicago, Rao held several positions in Citibank prior to founding MphasiS in 1998. He writes a regular opinion column for the Indian Express and lectures occasionally at IIM-A, Shailesh J Mehta School of Management - IIT Bombay as well as for the Sujaya Foundation. Rao is actively involved with the CII and was Chairman, NASSCOM 2004-05.

SwamiSWAMINATHAN S AIYAR, Panellist
Research Fellow at the Cato Institute and popularly known  for  his column “Swaminominics” in the Times of India. Considered “India’s leading economic journalist” by Stephen Cohen of the Brookings Institution, he has been editor of India's two biggest financial dailies, The Economic Times and Financial Express, and was also the India correspondent of The Economist for two decades.

ParthPARTH J SHAH, Panellist
Founder President of the Centre for Civil Society, his research & advocacy work focuses on the themes of economic freedom, choice & competition in education, property rights and good governance. He has been published extensively in international and Indian journals, on various topics from currency regulation to education policy. He holds a PhD in Economics from Auburn University and taught at the University of Michigan.
