A few months ago, we wrote to you about Global Power Shift in
Istanbul, Turkey and that the participants would all go back to their
home countries to plan and execute phase 2 or National level Power
Shifts. The team in India has been planning an exciting event called
Udaan, at the beautiful Fireflies Ashram in Bangalore. The multi-day
training will take place from the 15th to the 19th of December 2013.

Bringing various experts and experienced campaigners from across the
country, we want to share the tools and resources one needs to lead
the new wave of environmental movement in India. At Udaan,
participants will learn new and exciting ways of digital campaigning;
sharing stories of movements and social change; discovering art as a
tool for positive impact; putting the power of media to effective use;
and much more.

150 youth will gather for Udaan and add strength to the growing
environmental and social movement in India and around the globe. To be
able to select most active, vibrant and diverse youth from across the
country, we need you help.

Can you help us spread the application amongst your network of
friends, colleagues and active youth? The deadline to apply is October
15, 2013.

Background of Udaan:

In June this year, 500 youth leaders from around the world came
together for Global Power Shift in Istanbul, Turkey. They shared
skills and developed strategies to take the global climate movement to
a new level. Participants learned various skills on campaigning
(online & offline), movement-building, media and communications, and
creative activism. Then they went back home to initiate their own
power shifts. Udaan is one such power shift for India.
