Greetings from Navnirmiti!!!

This mail is to inform you about a great once in a lifetime astronomical event, "TRANSIT OF VENUS" that will take place on 6th of June 2011, when the sun, earth and venus will be aligned so that we can see the transit. This is an event that will not take place for another 105 years. The last transit took place in december 1882, and the next one will take place in december 2117. Therefore,it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to watch this transit.

There is a immense nationwide interest in the within the astronomy community and, Navnirmiti has already conducted a workshop on the subject along with  the Homi Bhabha Science Center, Vigyan Prasar and All India People Science Network on the 23th of february 2012.
