Dear Douglas Families,
Hope everyone is doing well. Halloween is around the corner, and I see many homes decorated with halloween themed decors around the school. I heard from my daughter that she is dressing up on Friday to participate in a school fashion show. She is very excited. Please stay safe and healthy everyone.
We hosted a PAC General meeting on October 19th, and over 30 families attended the virtual meeting. We saw many new faces and old friends, and we were happy with the spirited discussions. Minutes will be updated on our PAC website for those who couldn't join us. Our next PAC General meeting is scheduled for November 16th @ 7 pm. Pencil it on your calendar and here is the registration link:
The
www.munchalunch.com website is fully operational now, and we have 2 fundraisers currently. We have put up the Douglas Dragons Face Mask sale. $15 each including a FREE personalization if you order by November 9th. 3 sizes to choose from, children, youth, and adults. 30% from the sales goes directly back to the PAC. Some of our children and M. Daniel is already wearing a version of it.
We have also teamed up with HT Photography to host 2 evenings of family photo nights. November 18 (for the Annex) & November 19th (for the Main). You must have a munchalunch account to register. We need your help to fill 15 of the 18 time slots each night to make this work. The sessions are $25 each, and you will receive a 8" x 10" photo with the appointment. 100% of the registration goes directly back to the PAC. We will take proper safety & cleansing procedures during photo night sessions.

Purdys' Chocolate sale is also happening. We have some early bird orders worth over $1000 combined already. We are past 1/4 of the way to the $3500 goal. Order deadline is November 16th. Please go to
https://fundraising.purdys.com/ and support the Sir James Douglas Elementary & Annex Fall Fundraiser 2020.
Lastly, we will be conducting a parent survey and updating your contact information later this week. More information to follow on our next communication.
Take care everyone.
