Pirates! The Musical, Annex Walkathon, and Big Brother Clothing Drive

Good afternoon Douglas parents and guardian, 

It's hard to believe that March is upon us, and Spring Break is only another week away. The PAC has a couple events that has been organized where we require volunteers. Please consider helping out if you can spare some time for us.

1. Pirates! The Musical (March 11th and March 12th)

The PAC will be running a simple concession table at the evening shows. Cookies, donuts and snacks will be available for purchases. We will also have some coffee available. If anyone would like to volunteer at the concession, please feel free to let us know. 

At the end of the performance, the school will need some volunteers to help take down the props, if you can stay an extra 30 minutes, it will make the take down very small work. Thank you in advance. Anyone with a van who can help with the returns of sound equipment and such would also be needed. 

2. 4th Annual Douglas Annex Walkathon (March 13th, 1 pm to 3 pm) 

Help! We are looking for parents to manage the 200 children at the annex during the walkathon. 8 parents will be needed to cheer on the kids and stamp lap cards on each of the school corners. And a few parents to help distribute fruits at the end of the walkathon. It would be great to have about 12 parents in total to help for the afternoon. Sign up by replying to this email or if you don't have time to reply, just show up on the 13th. No experience necessary. 

3. Clean out the closet with items you no longer need. From March 30th to April 3rd, clothing donations in full trash bags (the large ones) will be collected at both the annex and the main school. The clothing drive will go towards the Big Brother Canada. We don't have any bags like we did in the past, so please supply your own. With many thanks. 

4. Hot lunches will be held on March 6th at the main, and 13th at the annex. We are always in need for help at these lunches, and would appreciate that you are available to help.
