Welcome!

This group is all about the Job Definition Format, JDF, which is
presently managed by the CIP4, the International Cooperation for the
Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress
Organization.

Due to the dramatic fragmentation of CIP4's own mailing lists, and
their restricted access based on membership, we decided to set up this
open mailing list to enable independent companies and developers to
freely discuss any topics JDF related.

An open standard like JDF should not be a secret or the business of a
few, large companies that use their own "flavors" of the standard to
lock out competing products.
