"How to Change Cursor Color" on Linux for Newbie

Howdy. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. I am relatively new
to Linux and my first time now trying JDarkRoom. I'm Trying to use
JDarkroom with Background set to black and Text to neon green, because
I find it much easier on my eyes. However, since cursor remains black
in black background, no can see. Is possible to change? I googled, and
only found possibly relevant discussions that I can't understand. Any
help appreciated. Thanks!
