Looking for exact fit for this requirement.

 

This position will be responsible for the documentation and setup of Client Server UNIX Servers supporting the County of San Diego ERP application Suite.  This resource would be used to provide UNIX  Server system administration support for distributed servers in a multi-application environment. 

 

 

 

Document server setup,
Oversee the installation, testing, configuration of UNIX environments
Support tuning, and troubleshoot software with focus on UNIX  Server software administration and include support of third party and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products including Oracle Database Server (8i and 9i)
Ability to manage backup and recovery procedures.

Provide UNIX level support to Oracle DBAs and application developers during application migration and testing of COTS applications
Ability to work well in a team environment and

 

 

 

Experience

 

Candidates should have 6 to 10 years of UNIX Solaris experience. Experience with Oracle and/or PeopleSoft interfaces utilizing UNIX shell Scripts. Experience with data center migrations and new system installation including backup and recovery solutions in a SAN environment are also very desirable. Knowledge of FTP services and SMPT.
