Sr Server Side Java developer with heavy Struts experience. They will be working on a team of developers to develop a legal and compliance application. This application determines how a brokers accounts are distributed and personal information of clients is handled when they leave the organization. They are building the application regulate what happens with that information so it can be tracked and audited. It will be all new development with this person being solely responsible for coding., Analysis and high level design will be handled by the lead/arch.
Ideal candidate will come from a brokerage background with 7-10years of industry experience. Candidate needs to have Sr Development skills with J2EE and very strong struts background. Knowledge/experience working with WebSphere 5.1 and Jakarta Struts 1.1. Experienced in Java/JSP code. Code writing will involve using/transferring/modifying existing code as well as creating new code from specs.
Communication and presentation skills are very important for this job as it is a highly visible project in the organization. (Legal and compliance for brokerage applications) He/She will be regularly contributing to the development of new concepts, documentation, techniques, standards, and performing code reviews for more junior members of the team.
