In jquery 1.3 the $.browser is deprecated (see http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.support/).
Has anyone worked on adapting jcrop to the new jquery?

Is it really deprecated? My reading of the documentation is that they strongly suggest using jQuery.support vs. jQuery.browser, but that the browser method is not planned to be removed.

I'd be open to changing the code to respect this, but I'm not sure what support features are relevant here...maybe boxModel?

Yes, it is deprecated:

"The $.browser property is deprecated in jQuery 1.3, but there are no
immediate plans to remove it." ( http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.browser/
)

Feature-detection is of course best - I have never seen anyone who
opposes browser-sniffing for IE6, though.
