JCI is looking for a Growth and Development Manager for Asia and the Pacific. The ideal candidate is an intelligent, enthusiastic, innovative and dynamic person who knows and loves the organization and who, is willing to reside and work anywhere in Asia or the United States as may be required, is capable of successfully promoting growth and development throughout Asia and the Pacific.

Organization
Junior Chamber International (JCI) is an international membership-based non-governmental organization in over 100 countries with the mission of providing development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change. JCI members form a global network of nearly 200,000 active citizens seeking targeted solutions to the problems they see in their communities to build a better world.

Qualifications

• Is within JCI age limits (18-40)


• Has a university degree


• Is fluent in English (required) and (preferably) has working knowledge of other Asian languages


• Is able to travel internationally to promote JCI in Asia and the Pacific; work at JCI Asia and the Pacific meetings including the JCI Asia and the Pacific Conference; attend JCI meetings at the JCI World Headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri, U.S.A.; and work at the annual JCI World Congress


• Has JCI experience at the local and national levels

The successful candidate will be expected to start working as Director of Growth and Development for Asia and the Pacific in February 2010.

The Growth and Development Manager for Asia and the Pacific will be responsible for the execution of the Secretary General's program of activities in Asia and the Pacific, rendering growth and development assistance in accordance with the JCI Plan of Action, and carrying out the necessary field work in accordance with the growth and development plan in Asia and the Pacific. The Manager will serve at the direction of and report directly to the Executive Director for Growth and Development.
