RISE in the News!

RISE Interns are forwarding some of Hawaii's most pressing sustainability issues-- whether you realize it or not! Check out some of the exciting projects they have forwarded according to local and national news:
  • An intern-produced video was highlighted at the Hawaii Clean Tech Innovation Showcase, which included a keynote address from Senator Daniel K. Inouye.
  • An intern-written report entitled “Lessons Learned: The Early Adoption of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations,” is now available in full here. On October 25, 2012 the report findings were announced in this Star-Advertiser news article.
  • Our RISE interns' work to incorporate a biodiesel blend of B20 into TheBus was recently announced in the Biofuels Journal, on Hawaii News Now, and in Pacific Business News.
  • Our cadre of interns with the Hawaii Green Business Program (HGBP) supported the LEED Gold certification of the State Office Tower, as announced in this news release.
  • Our Greenhouse Gas Reporting Intern, Donna Mizuba, and former intern, Christyn Takara, have supported the State Department of Health Clean Air Branch in the public meetings that have taken place this week, as announced here.
Congratulations to all of our hardworking interns! View what other important projects RISE Interns have been advancing at www.riseHI.org/interns.
