Hello all and welcome back *hugs for all*. Sorry about the late minutes but I got lost in a end of semester paper and forgot =P Alrighty, well we had a few interesting announcements on Wednesday that were interesting including one that will make your stomachs bounce for joy. Our Ice breaker that day was a simple yet somehow complicated little game where we split up the group into four teams by color and presented each member 1 of 4 questions. It was rather simple and....idk...fun? lol.
Mkay, the first bit of actual news was about the penny bag fundraiser. Our group had been stuck in 16th place for much of the race; however, cleaver us decided to penny bomb the bag at the last moment and jumped all the way to the top in a single fell swoop beating the next highest team by over $50.....yeah, overkill. As a prize we will be getting a pizza party delivered by the senate president, Cory Perish (I hope that's his last name XD). Supposedly we get to pick his outfit but I have a feeling he'll chicken out and wear just the mandatory pizza boy hat =P (Darn, and I voted for the golden girls uniform).
The second bit was just an update on Hamburger Mary's. It seems we weren't signed up for anything there like we thought for quite a while but are back in the mess of things and it will continue as we planned. We have many gifts lined but but are still looking for donations to make the prizes seem more appealing. We figured this can be done by simply flooding them with cheap crap, candy or baskets and fake grass, anything to bulk to volume.
We also decided to take part in the TLC Holiday Wish List program. There are a couple lists on a tree in the CSI that have wish lists of children in various organizations/institutions that need help getting what they'd like this year. We picked a young girl who we felt wouldn't be too hard to grab some items fore. Her name is Jordahn and she is 15 years old. She would like the following for Christmas:
-Digital Camera
-Eyeliner and mascara, black
-Kohls or JC Penny Gift Card
-Mystery Books
-Journal, green or blue
If you would like to help that would be great. Both money or gifts will be appreciated contributions.
The last two items on the agenda were the Potluck and D'Bronx discussions, both of which are still on. On top of that I'd like to apologize again because the Potluck is today and I didn't give you all proper warning. It will be at the same place and about the same time as last time. This potluck theme is Ugly sweaters. Address info will be on the facebook page most likely in the discussions.
