DIRECT CLIENT REQUIREMENT – Oracle DBA – Barrington, IL (Rate: $50/hr.)

Job Title: Oracle Administrator/Oracle Golden Gate Engineer 

Location: Barrington, IL

Duration: 2+ months (This position could get extended for the right candidate.)

Rate: $50/hr.

Work Duties: 

GoldenGate install, configuration, setup and scripts to replicate DML for the following combinations of databases on Windows 2008 and 2012 servers: 

Oracle RAC 10G to Oracle RAC 11G 

Oracle RAC 10G to Oracle RAC 10G 

Oracle 10G to Oracle 10G 

Oracle 10G to Oracle 11G 

Sybase 12.5.1 to Oracle 11G 

SQL Server 2012 to Oracle 11G 

Create monitoring, failover and failback capability in the various deployment modes. 

Using MSCS 

Using A10 and F5. Actual work on A10 and F5 will be done by another team. We need to provide the scripts that this team requests. 

Provide documentation inputs for install, upgrade and servicing such environment. 

Requirements: 

8+ years of relevant experience. 

3+ yeas in implementation of Oracle GoldenGate based replication and ETL 

Writing SQL and PL/SQL on Oracle 10G and 11G. 

Experience in setup up of replicated Oracle database environment using Oracle GoldenGate. 

Experience with Oracle Connection Manager. 

Experience with Oracle RMAN. 

Expertise in writing scripts in Windows environment, preferably using PowerShell, for clustering services. 

Agile Methodology, Scrum, XP 

Preferred: 

Desired expertise and experience in working with A10 and F5 traffic managers and ESXi environments. 

Experience with GoldenGate on Sybase & SQL Server. 

Experience on setup of Clustering on Windows Server 2008 and 2012. 

Oracle Golden Gate Certified Implementation Specialist preferred.
