Half Marathon

Good job on the toughman guys..  really impressive stuff.  Maybe I can join in next year.  There is a half marathon in Jersey City on 9/23/2012.  Just figured I would throw it out there since its obvious you guys can do it.  I am off and it might be a game day decision for me but I think I would like to try it.

Newport liberty half marathon

I'll be running this one with Ned. It's his first half and I'm going to pace him and keep him company.  It's a nice and flat course with some good views.  Bring sunblock, there is absolutely no shade downtown on the waterfront and in Liberty Park.

I really want to do it.  My normal runs are between 8-8.5 with the Bayonne bridge in between.  I also did that relay with two 8's..  I just don't know if I can do 13 straight.

If you stay within your means and run at a mild pace you'll finish, no doubt about it.  The trick is to enjoy your first half.  Don't push to hard and use it as a gauge for future races.

If you've run 8, you won't have any problems with 13 if you go at an easier pace.
