Looks like the heat will break by week's end and that means perfect weather for a ride. It's been too long since I've had the chance to ride with most of you, so let's struggle it up to Bear and then head over to Peekskill for a beer before taking Metro North back to Manhattan.

Note: JC Folks I'll be leaving by 6 to hit the bridge by 7.

So it looks like there are just three of us on Saturday. I could be convinced to do a 70 mile loop from JC to Nyack with the Tweed Road climbs as an alternative. This would get us back sooner, add an extra ~700 feet of climbing to the usual route, and lose the need to take a train. 

This would be the plan:

• Leave JC @ 6am
• Reach GWB @ 7am
• Ride through Palisades Interstate Park and up to Ranger
• Head into Tallman and through Piermont
• Follow the river to Nyack
• Grab a coffee and a snack at Runcible
• Ride into Blauvelt State Park
• Follow the signs for Tweed
• Climb Tweed and descend onto 9w just outside of Piermont
• Usual route home

Ok guys, so it's looking like a Nyack loop. I'm going to leave my house at 6am on the dot. Let's get a final count of who is in and who's out. If it's a small group, let's meet at the entrance to Palisades Park at 7am and start moving by 7:05am. I would prefer not to have too many stops between JC and Nyack. We'll post up and grab a snack and then loop back the hard way.
