Git repo (again)...

Hi,

given that I am going to look at
https://code.google.com/p/jbrout/issues/detail?id=215 (port to GExiv2),
I would like to reopen the question of porting Google Groups SVN
repository to Git.

I have made a mirrors of both jbrout repo
(http://luther.ceplovi.cz/git/jbrout.git/) and its wiki
(http://luther.ceplovi.cz/git/jbrout-wiki.git/).

Isn't it the time to switch? See also

Hi

I would recommend switching to Git as it gives a better development experience and at present I use git-svn to develop locally using Git and then push it into SVN.  

Although the conversion is not automated it is easily achieved.  

Ultimately this is up to Marc as he is the project owner and the only one with admin rights.

I'm using git-svn also (only pulling for jbrout) and even tried some pretty weird branch mappings. Git might be a little less straightforward for windows users, but it works. We're migrating from svn to git at work and i don't regret the switch.

On a slightly different subject, i saw from matej mail that the Google wiki is vcs based. Any idea what their engine is? I'm trying "gitit" these days. Very easy and simple, but maybe a little too simple.
