HI,

I use jBPM 6.4 and I search a solution to forward User Task from a group to an another group. The task can be in status Ready or Reserved.
I saw jBPM implement by default the WS-HumanTask and this specification does not allow to forward task if there are groups in potentials owners.
I check the reassignent mechanism but it seems reassignment works only with task deadline and timer.

So what the best way to forward a User Task from group to another group ?

Regards,
Jérôme.

you have already found all the options. It has been improved in upcoming version 7 (Administration interfaces in jBPM 7) where there is an admin api that allow to modify potential owner list or schedule ad hoc reassignment.

the only way to do it in version 6.x is via API - task service to get the task and change its potential owner.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I saw the AddPeopleAssignmentsCommand.java for manage people assignments on GitHub.
So I finally decide to write a custom forward Command with the same mechanism :

 - remove task actual owner (set to null)
 - Change task status to "Ready"
 - Clear the task potentiel owners list and add the forward groups

This break the classic jBPM Human Task lifecycle but it works for me.

Regards.
Jérôme.
