How to access the completed process-instances from another process in jBPM?

Can someone know how to use JAVA APIs to get the data of completed processes in jBPM? Is there any other way to achieve the same?

I tried Custom work item handlers. But nothing worked. what is the best way to access the other processes from a process in jbpm?
