Thank you all for your quick responses. I have some clarity now.
@Alex. I noticed there is no mention of Eclipse at all. Is low grade compared to KIE Sandbox and VSCode?

Also, is jBPM enough to design a complete business process automation?
Will looks forward to the Kogito integration with jBPM.

@Arif. are you saying there is no support for jBPM again and is likely to be discontinued?

Hello Guys, please i need your help. I am a bit confused what path to take.
I want to design and create business processes for deployment to OpenKM and
hopefully Alfresco Community edition.

I dont know whether to use Business Central or Eclipse with jBPM. Is it
possible to export business process created in Business central to .par ?

Thanks in anticipation of your response.

all these tools will work only with jBPM - for alfresco you’d need to use
Alfresco tools.

If you interested in Kogito or jBPM you can use KIE Sandbox or VS Code
Extensions.

Investments in Business Central has been reduced over the last couple of
years.

Alex

What is the future direction ? stop using business central ?

And where can I find the road map of jBPM ?

Alex Porcelli <al...@porcelli.me>: Aug 31 07:25PM -0400

For tools the general direction is VS Code and KIE Sandbox.

jBPM is a very mature technology, and we’re evaluating how to bring it
together with Kogito. We’re still working thru details and will post as
soon as we have it sorted out.

Hi Ade,

I didn’t mention Eclipse as we have no plans to continue the investment on it.

In regard jBPM, it’s a powerful and mature technology that we stand behind. The Kogito initiative and project is looking how we can improve the use cases in the context of cloud native.

Hope it helps clarify.

Regards,
Alex
