The Role: In this role, you will be part of the development of enterprise and web applications within Products Services team. The candidate would need to be a solid individual contributor who has experience in doing agile development, who has worked on complex architecture like cloud, load balanced systems, Restful API, Search Engines, NoSQL databases, high-performing systems etc. An ideal candidate can create scalable, flexible technical solutions, understand and support existing systems, study their enterprise complexities and develop state of art systems with modern software development practices. The candidate needs to have good grasping abilities to pick up new technologies and frameworks.
Description:
· Strong development experience a must. Consistent track record for education and professional career.
· Hands on in Java technology stack – Java, JEE, Spring.
· Expert HTTP, Restful web services, REST framework like Jersey, CXF etc.
· Understanding of Solr, Lucene & Search Engines.
· Exposure with NoSQL databases and has developed applications on cloud with them.
· Good understanding of Object oriented design, Design Patterns
· Has done development or debugging on Linux/ Unix platforms.
· Motivation to learn innovative trade of programming, debugging and deploying
· Self starter, with excellent self-study skills and growth aspirations
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Flexible attitude, perform under pressure.
· Test driven development, A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work.
· A good team player with ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Requirement:
· JEE technologies- Java, Spring
· Solr Cloud 5, REST implementation using JAX-RS
· AMQP with RabbitMQ
· SQL, Databases, ORM frameworks like Hibernate
· Servers – Tomcat, Jetty, Apache Web Server
· MAVEN, Jenkins
· Linux/ Unix
· Strong at multiple Open source frameworks on JEE side
· Extensive Junit in projects.
Good to Have:
· Varnish Cache
· Committer to any Open source framework for an enhancement - like Solr customization
· XML transformation engines, Template engines like Velocity
· Experience with Multilingual architecture
· Experience with high volume API designs, performance improvements
Responsibilities:
· Lead the design & development of web and enterprise solutions to be flexible, scalable and extensible.
· Improve complex data flow, data structures and database design to move to next generation platform.
· Maintain, enhance, and implement bug fixes and support the product and data systems; proactively monitor events, investigate issues, analyze solutions, and drive problems through to resolution.
· Collaborate with team on good object oriented solutions and domain modeling.
· Enforce good Agile practices like story estimation and test-driven development.
· Task breakdown, allocation, coordination and overall team leadership activities.
· Identify opportunities for continuous and automated deployment.
· Introduce and follow good development practices, innovative frameworks, and technology solutions that help business move faster.
· Drive continuous improvement and innovation.
· Attend occasional client calls to address issues and bugs.
Education:
· BS/ MCA in Computer Science or equivalent related experience.
