PUBG's high ping controversy has now become a lot more complicated as a streamer created a response video to the ideas first shared in the "High Ping Advantage A Hoax?" video. The first example he shows is that if a low ping user peeks around a tree, a high ping user can fire off 5 shots in quick succession before the low ping user sees them. Once the first shot hits, during a real game, most users would duck behind the tree. Because of the enemy's high ping though, the shots would slowly register with the server, and therefore cause damage to the player hiding behind the tree.
High ping users also acquire another massive advantage that chocoTaco elaborates on. If a high ping player strafes around a corner and sees a low ping player, they will have a few moments where that player is not moving, shooting, or causing any kind of distraction. This essentially means that the high ping player is getting to shoot at a target, while the low ping player will have to fire at a moving and shooting person. The low ping user's bullets may travel to the server faster, but they must deal with a lot more challenging variables.

The only reason I need to use my in-game map is to see where a teammate has tagged on the map. If I could see player pings, that would mean I never need to use the in-game map.
My internet started working 4 days ago I was getting 16-17-18-19 ping average for Frankfurt servers PUBG which is perfect but yesterday it started giving me 38-39-40-41-42 so it kinda doubled. Iv reset the modem a few times nothing changed. my friend from Istanbul gets 33-34-35-36 he is double the distance to the server and gets better ping than I do.
Thank you. I will try leaving it off for an hour, The connection seems fine no disconnecting or spikes, I wish I had done a trace-router when the ping was at its lowest so I could tell what actually happen. why it went from 16 ping all day then changed to 40 ping.
Assuming you are FTTC then at 4 days you're still well inside the period where the Openreach DLM will be adjusting your connection to maintain stability etc. so the increased ping MIGHT be something to do with that - has your speed to the router changed across the 4 days as well? Don't keep re-booting/ resetting your router because its possible the DLM will see those restarts as further errors and throttle things further.
I am having a issue while playing mobile (android mobile) due to high ping like 240+ ms (using wi-fi) but when I use express VPN connect to melbourne server I used to get bewteen 76 - 96ms but right now I am getting between 108 - 128ms constantly don't know why. I use vodafone 3G to play and I get 128ms (fluctuating sometimes). I have read other forms they are talking about PUBG PC game instead i'm talking about pubg mobile.
