Hi Guys,

I have a slight problem here. I created a Nofile Enquiry and the
enquiry works though not exactly in the way I wanted it to work.
So, I went to back to the subroutine to make my changes, compiled it
(successfully) and rushed to T24 Standard Selection, then to the
Enquiry Designer, making and the necessary changes.

However, on running the Enquiry, I did not notice any changes in the
result.

I even went back to the subroutine, made obvious wrong changes so that
I am sure the Enquiry wont run. Still it runs as if nothing has been
modified from the first time.

So my question are:

1. After editing a subroutine and compiling it, how do I make T24 to
start working with the new nofile subroutine?

2: How do I check in jbase jsh if the subroutine is working, and view
values being returned before having to follow the whole t24 procedure
only to find at the last minute there is something missing?

And on http://groups.google.com/group/jBASE/browse_thread/thread/b3059b9ace212b62?fwc=1
there are two pdf tutorials from Nguyen Hoang Trang. Unfortunately,
the larger pdf (3.NofileEnquiry.pdf) may be corrupt. Every time I try
opening it it I get an error (i have downloaded it like 5 times just
to be sure) So Nguyen, if u still have it, could you please re-share
it?

Thanx guys in advance.

Hi,

If you are writing subroutine based enquiry, you need to log out completely from jbase and sign on again in order to reflect the changes.

If you are working on browser reset the TCserver and sign on from the new session.

It might solve your problem.

you can use jshow -c <subroutine name> from jbase promt

in order to check whether subroutine is catalog or not. above command gives you file location and latest cataloged date and time

hi there,

I am not too sure about T24, but on G12 and G13 you set field 28 to Y and commit.

  26. 3. 1 USR.CNV.TYPE
  27. 3. 1 USR.REL.FILE
  28 REBUILD.SYS.FLDS..Y
  29 DEFAULT.ENRICH....
  30 SPARE.2...........
  31 SPARE.3...........
