T24-drilldown and executing win applications

Hi,

running t24 on unix and using Desktop. In the template application is
it possible to have a drilldown on the field that will allow to list
the local drive of the workstation and to enable to store some value
in the template application field?
And also is it possible to execute automatically the windows program
(word, pdf reader) to open file stored in the template application of
the t24?

The point is to store in the template application field some file ids
that are present on the windows network drive and then clicking on the
particular ID to open that file in the corresponding windows
application.
