Does anybody know if T24 R4 has the ability to pickup OFS by TSS
agents, messages sent through windows telnet consoles?
I have managed this for R7 but not for R4 and I am wondering if I am
doing something wrong?

YOU NEED TO USE

OFS.CONNECTION.MANAGER for R4

it was renamed as tSS in the later releases of T24

Hi Godysheikh,

Basically is multisession OFS messages copy paste from Windows to Telnet Consoles pointing to T24 environment (R7) through TSS processes managed by an OFS.SOURCE in T24 with 12 threads.
This process is actually automated using a .net tool.

Regards,
Alex

Hi Guys

Back to tSS.. I think I am encountering another issue:
The OFS message seems to have a big length and the input/auth stops and splits the OFS in two OFS messages that will be both wrong! and rejected...
Is it possible that tSS process has a length limit for the OFS message?
If yes can it be setup otherwise?

Please let me know.
Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply...
I made some more research and I noticed now that the problem it is not the OFS, it is Telnet Console which I am using to pass the OFS to jbase.

I ran the same OFS through routine it was ok.
So it seems the problem is telnet console length maybe, or the API...I am not sure!?

So it seems that the telnet session is breaking the OFS in more messages...
Does anybody know a solution of this?

Console has msg length limitation but it does not mean that the same msg will not work by other means. If you are using MQ, any LISTENER or any service to post that OFS message it will work fine.

I am trying to send this OFS from windows - through telnet consoles.
By what it is picked up in T24 (what message queue or what application) it is a blackbox for me?

So are you suggesting not to use tSS process and to use for example OFS.MESSAGE.QUEUE for example?
Or to use other ways of exporting the OFS messages - not the Telnet Consoles? If this case what can you suggest?

Thanks a lot
Alex
